WELCOME

Since 1859, the Middletown Fire Department has efficiently and effectively carried out its charge to prevent and extinguish fires and protect the lives of the residents and visitors of our community and to preserve their property.

The Department now safeguards a population of over 28,000 people living within Middletown’s five-mile square area.

The MFD now answers well over 1,100 calls per year, including structure fires, brush fires, motor vehicle accidents, emergency medical services, rescue calls, as well as a variety of public service requests such as flooded cellars and very occasionally, the legendary cat in the tree.
